Getting to Peoria
Airports
PIA (Peoria Airport) is the closest and has daily flights from several airlines.
BMI (Bloomington) is also a close option. There is a bus that runs from Bloomington to Peoria on a daily basis (https://peoriacharter.com/findmystop); the most convenient Peoria bus stop for the conference would be the Peoria City Link stop. Note the bus does not pick you up at the airport; you would need to get from the airport into Bloomington to meet the bus.
Flights are, of course, also available into the Chicago airports. There is a regular bus service from O’Hare to Peoria (https://peoriacharter.com/findmystop). Again, plan to get off the bus at the Peoria City Link stop.
Amtrak
Amtrak has stops in Galesburg and Bloomington, both about an hour from Peoria. The Bloomington Amtrak station is near where the bus picks passengers up in Bloomington to go to Peoria (https://peoriacharter.com/findmystop). Again, you would take the bus to the Peoria City Link stop.
Parking
Parking is available at the Peoria Civic Center for a daily fee. Overnight parking is not be available at the Civic Center and would need be arranged elsewhere.
Ride Shares
After you register, you’ll be invited to the AFO SCO-SOC 2024 Slack Workspace, where there will be a channel for finding attendees who want to share a ride to/from the airport.
Hotels
We have blocks of rooms set up at four hotels within walking distance of the Peoria Civic Center. Rooms need to be booked by June 15 to receive the rates listed below; we encourage folks to book early.
